People complain about the pencil but I bought this for the shape. I bought pencils on the side, and obviously a better pencil helps. But once you have the righr pencil and position the tool, very simple to draw a line and have even trims. I never trim while holding the shaper tool. Makes no sense as it will just hit against the plastic. Although the pictures show you can, just tracing works the same

This is a solid product and does exactly what it's meant to. However, you may have issues depending on your face shape and size.

I'm new to having a beard and couldn't quite define my beard lines constantly. This guide is really easy to use and critical that it is clear so you can see what you are cutting and what is left. I am very happy I purchased this and hope it lasts for many years of use.

I use it for the first time today it was easy to use and I was able to repeat the same cut to the other side for an even cut and look. I think my barber and I will see less of each other now.
