I've had a short beard, like 1/2-1 inch since 2012. I never grew it out to much, because it would get itchy and irritating. I also was not a big fan of how coarse my beard would become as it got longer. However, I decided to grow it out once just for kicks. I've only been letting it grow out about 3 more weeks than usual, but I started thinking about beard care products as a solution to my itchy beard to be. I'd always been skeptical as to if this stuff really works, so I decided to get a cheap care kit just to see if the hype was warranted. I bought this kit, because it was cheap and it had good reviews... That was it. With all that said... I'm a believer in beard care products! I can't speak to the quality of the products contained in this kit to others, as this is the first kit I've ever bought, but the product makes a difference. I don't know if it will help my beard grow in thicker or faster either, as I've only used it for 2 days, but it does make my beard feel and look better. My beard noticeably softer (my wife agrees) and it looks healthy (again wife approved) so overall I am very satisfied. Now for the negative... Again I don't know if this is standard among all beard care products, but it seems to me that the oil and balm dry out quickly. After a few hours I feel like I need to reapply product. I know a lot of other products say 1-3 times a day, well I feel that you have to use this product 3 times a day to keep your beard looking tip top. I'm not in love with the citrusy fruity smell either. It's not bad, just a personal preference. I'm glad it's not anoverwhelmingly strong scent. I look forward to trying out some of the more renowned products in the beard care industry. This will make a great gift or first time purchase. I definitely recommend it.

Bought as a gift for my husband. I spend a lot of time looking for different kits but this was the best for the price. I wanted a beard kit that smelled good and this smells of orange. It is wonderful!! The balm does not hold it is just a conditioning balm. It will tame the fly aways but it will not style a moustache if that is what you are going for (wax would be better for this purpose). The boar comb is holding up well. Some of the bristles will come out....as with any boar bristle brush will over time. It isnt a big deal especially for the price. The scissors are not the best but do the job at just trimming. If you want a more precise cut then I would get hair scissors. My husband particularly likes the dual sided comb. Overall husband and I are very happy with this kit. The packaging is a plus and the box that it comes with can be used to store everything or would look nice holding other things. Will buy from this brand again!

I was expecting a gift basket like shown in the pictures. When a tiny box arrived I was a bit surprised. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift for my husband but I just couldn't wait to give it to him! He was medically retired from the military a year ago and since this is the first time since he was 18 that he didn't have to shave he has been letting it grow. He LOVES this product. He has been using it a couple of weeks now he says it's "Not bad" but that's just military code for it's pretty freaking awesome hahaha. Now that he has these products he has been taking better care of his face which is a win win for the whole family!!!

Was excited to receive this set as I am dealing with a health issue which has rendered me mostly immobile. The kit contains all a guy needs to take care of his beard, so I keep mine right by my chair. The balm, oil, and shampoo have light but nice smells. And are up to the task. The comb and brush are great for staying well groomed. Very pleased, (but those scissors, not good or would have been 5 stars)

Oh, my! My husbands beard is soo soft now, it was kind of dry before and this took care of that after the 1st time he used this and it is easier to manage. He loves the whole routine. The scissors, brush and comb are wonderful, really helps with keeping his beard neat and tidy. It has a nice light citrus smell that is not overpowering! I took a chance and got this kit for him for Christmas and I am so glad I did! I will definitely be getting this for him again in the future! Hope this helps, have a great day :)

The over all presentation is very nice. I'm happy with the immediate overlook of the product but until I use it for a couple months I don't know how i like it completely. It does have everything a beard newbie might need to start their collection. The scent is a bit odd but I base my like for the product on how it works more then the scent. If I had to describe the scent I would say a bit of citrus and maybe lemongrass with almost a sour smell at the end, I am more used to a wide range of scents to choose from but it's great for a starter kit/ present
