I'm extremely pleased with this Kit. I've been using it now for Over a week and after immediately noticing a big (positive) difference between this Oil and Brush I decided to put it through the "test". On day 1, I started with a thorough wash of my beard. Normally I use a hairdryer and bore bristle brush to straighten my beard while it is still wet which has been the best way I've found to tame my wild beard. I follow that up with applying the oil and thoroughly brushing it in. This time I skipped the hairdryer and only used their brush while the hair dried naturally. The result was every bit as good as using a hairdryer. The difference between my old brush and this product is subtle but HUGE! This bristles on this brush are just slightly more stiff. This gives it a lot more control and really gets in deep and seems to pull more of the underlying hair resulting in a straighter more manageable beard (and this is with only the brush so far). Once tamed, and completely dry, I added the beard oil and brushed it in. The oil has a dropper which my previous oil did not, this made things much easier. You can better control how much oil you apply. I don't really know how to describe the smell of the Oil but it seems to dissipate quickly so It doesn't matter much to me. After brushing in the Oil, the effect was noticeable. It felt softer and healthier than with my previous oil, I was pleased. I like to let things rest and kind of soak in for at least 10 minutes before i apply a second coat of oil the same way. Once the oil was evenly distributed and given more time to soak in the Oiliness seemed to go away. I was left with a soft and well managed beard! I normally give my beard a good thorough brushing before bed and wake up with a completely out of control beard that no longer wants to cooperate. However, this didn't happen this time. My beard was less matted and when i brushed I was a little surprised that it brushed up quite nice. I added another dropper of oil and brushed that in and went about my day without worrying about an out of control beard. I usually wash my beard every other day because of the chaos but i decided to let it go an extra day. On day 3 when i woke up and gave it a brush it was still in pretty good shape especially considering i was on day 3. On day 4 it was getting a little more out of control and less cooperative so I washed it. This time i thought I'd try out the comb and I can say that it worked flawlessly at giving my beard an extremely bushy and voluminous look (not what I normally go for but I've seen plenty of beards out there done this way). On day 5 I thought I would try to tame the bushiness from the comb by using the brush and some oil. It didn't look as nice as had but still quite decent. After that It's been business as usual washing every other day or even the occasional 3rd day. The combination of their brush and High quality oil has been a great improvement for my beard. I did try my old brush and oil as comparison somewhere around day 7 or so and it reaffirmed my observations. So that's the product, I'm extremely pleased. 5 out of 5 for me! Now for the customer service aspect of my experience. Somewhere along the line after my order had shipped the tracking switched to say the product was lost by the carrier. I wasn't sure what to do as i had never had any issues with receiving my orders from amazon before. I thought I would give it a few days and see if it might just show up but nothing did. I was becoming a little frustrated but still wasn't sure what to do when I received an email from the Seller asking how I liked the product. I replied, letting them know what happened but I didn't ask or expect them to correct the problem that occurred with the shipping company. I quickly received a reply and they offered to send me a new Kit even though the problem was not theirs. (I had another item from another seller that was lost at the same time, they however, didn't follow up). The replacement kit arrived quickly, within a day or two and I'm so glad it did. So to finalize, I want to thank Leven Rose for making a quality product and Jess with Leven Rose for making things right and turning a negative experience into a positive one. Buy this product, I don't think you'll regret it. And just in case it matters to some, I have no affiliation with this company or product. I'm just a guy with a beard!

Works okay, but it is very easy to use too much, even with the dropper. Then you become the shiny beard guy! Also, doesn’t have a very appealing odor. I switched to “Buff City” beard oil.

So, I'm a relative newbie to beard maintenance products. For the past 25 or so years, I've always kept my beard "business short," which honestly required virtually no special attention beyond a conditioning shampoo. So, when I decided to go for a longer, thicker look I was suddenly faced with a host of problems that I'd never encountered before. Number 1 was itching (aka dry skin, flakes and wild-ass flyaway hairs). Number 2 was beard softness. Essentially, my beard grows very fast, very full and as I hit the 2 months stage of growth (about 2 inches) it was turning into one dry, coarse thick facial coverage of sandpaper. At which point I reached out for advice from my bearded brothers online (Facebook has some awesome beard and mustache groups!). The single, loudest reply to my cry for help was "dude, BEARD OIL!" So, off I went into the unknown land of brands, costs, ingredients and scents. Leven Rose Fragrance Free oil is my fourth different brand (hey, you don't know what yer gonna really like without a bit of experimenting). I've been using it for a little over a week now and quite frankly, I'm darn impressed. Quality compared to the others I've tried is a solid 9 or 10, which means it works very well. It soaks in quickly and leaves your beard very soft and much easier to tame. Price compared to others I've tried? It's the least expensive brand I've purchased and does the job just as well. Fragrance-wise? Well, the only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because I ordered the unscented version, meaning I have no way of gauging the overall fragrance of their other scented products. All of the other brands I've purchased have been scented and I wanted to experiment with some fragrance free to see what it was like. Fragrence free it is and it does the job extremely well. I'll likely try out a few of their fragrance oils in the future (I do enjoy a nice, light sandalwood or outdoorsy smell). So, there you have it. My two cents. Yes, they do offer incentives if you write a review. Fair to admit that. But frankly it wouldn't have changed my review one bit. If it was s***, I'd review it as s***. I read a lot of Amazon reviews before purchases and try to comment on items as often as I can... it's a valuable tool when purchasing. And one final note: I've seen a couple folks bitching that this is an expensive product for "simple beard oil." Um, BS. First off, it's not a "simple beard oil." It's made with top quality ingredients and does the job just as well as some oils I've bought that ran into the mid $20 range. If you really want a simple (aka, cheap) beard oil, try buying some of the $8 crap you'll find at some retail stores. It's greasy as hell, usually smells horrible and does a terrible job of soaking in and doing much of anything for your beard. It's a specialty item folks. If you're gonna spend the time and effort to grow a nice beard, don't skimp on the one product that is an absolute MUST HAVE.
