Excellent so far of the last few months. Enjoying the auto adjusting length with only 1 guard. Also the self sharpening is very good so far, I will watch it over time. I maintain a "9" length beard for now. Thinking about letting it grow to about an 11 or 13 and keeping those lengths trimmed with this Remington.

My husband has a new beard that is heavy. He is really happy with this purchase. He said to say that it's best to turn it off rather than leave on standby. He uses a couple of times a week to keep it neat.

This is my second Remington Beard Trimmer. My first one finally gave up the ghost (dead battery) so I bought another one. I would recommend this trimmer highly.

So, I'm going to be quite specific here. I bought this trimmer because I find it very difficult to trim my mustache with other trimmers. They work fine on my beard, but it's too hard to get the larger standard type comb attachments in the tight spaces under my nose. The result is that my mustache is too full, and I'm stuck with trimming the overall length just above the lip with a nail scissor. I specifically was looking for something where the adjustment aspect moved a small comb straight out from the trimmer to set the length without the longer diagonal comb(s) that can't fit under my nose. This trimmer fits that bill. I can get in the area and have good control of the length, with a good result. It does require a number of passes to do it, but in a small area, that is manageable. The problem is that it takes far too many passes to do the rest of my beard. Granted I keep it fairly short by today's standards, and it's thick and graying (which makes it more course), but the hairs don't gather well in the comb, and it took forever to do the job compared to my old trimmer. So I'm keeping it as an additional tool in the drawer just for my mustache but will use my other trimmer for everything else. If you are trying to solve for the mustache issue like I was, or you have a mustache w/o a beard, then it's a worthwhile purchase. 4 stars for that specific job, but if you want just one trimmer, it would be fewer stars.

I really like this trimmer. It has an excellent video demonstration. I love the auto adjustment button so you really don’t mess up the beard. Totally awesome.

Purchased this trimmer 3 years ago. It performed well, and I was very happy with the product, but recently the unit started having battery issues. It would show a full charge and then shut down mid-trim. I called the Remington warranty department and described the issue. They informed me the trimmer came with a 5-year warranty and offered to send me a replacement at no cost. No hassle. No paperwork. Just great customer service.

The media could not be loaded. I bought the product because of my friend's recommendation. Now I have been using the product for six months and I am very satisfied with it. Really good product. very comfortable Does not hurt when trimming. I tried to use as a hair cutting machine, less recommend :) You get what is guaranteed at a quality level of the highest. Because of its high quality, ease of use, and the excellent job it does, I will give this product 5 stars.

I mainly used this for beard, mustache, arm pits, and groin. Arm pits and groin you can use without the comb. For beard it worked amazing because you can store up to the four lengths and recall them as needed. I use a #3 and #4 guard for my beard which equates to approximately 9mm and 12mm respectively. I would recall those settings and just set it back to 1mm when I was done so it didn't try to spool up the motor to a raised height if I was using it without the comb. The blades cut well and stay sharp even with my coarse beard hair. I only had to drop a little trimmer blade oil on the blades themselves after a good cleaning around the year mark and I put one drop each in the gear slots where the guides for the comb are to lubricate the guide motors. I only did this because I noticed the comb was rattling a bit after the 8-9 month mark and the blades would get a little hot after extended use. The trimmer blade oil cleared up both. 2-3 drops on the blade and let it run for 15-20 secs while working it around the blades and 1 drop in each comb motor guide and run it up and down (about 9-12mm each time) a few times. Worked like it was brand new out of the box again. The only reason I'm buying a new one is it got used (by someone that wasn't me) and was allowed to get very wet under running water while the trimmer was running. Water got inside the trimmer while running and now the LED screen is messed up (I've seen other videos depicting the LED screen issue and they say it "happened randomly after a year or so". I'd be willing to bet it was due to getting very wet while in operation). This won't deter me from buying another one because it's THAT GOOD! The instructions explicitly state that while it can be put through running water to be cleaned it should only be done with the trimmer OFF and locked to avoid damage to the electronics. I would easily pay an extra $20-40 if there was an IP rated version of this trimmer with the same features. *Looking at you, Remington*
