I've been using this for a couple/few weeks now, and neither I nor my wife have noticed a "softness" difference. It does a great job cleaning though. Suds up nice, and has a strong smell of what reminds me of Witch Hazel. Wouldn't surprise me if that's what was used to make this shampoo. Still holding out hope for the softness to kick in, as it wasn't a terribly cheap beard shampoo option.

I used bar soaps for two years because I read a Men's Health article that recommended it. As you can imagine if you've ever used beard wash, this left my facial hair feeling dry and prickly, and even led to some dry skin rashes as a result. Fortunately, I have this now. My beard hair feels like hair. My girlfriend commented that my beard felt softer after just one week. Do yourself and your beard a favor and buy this product. Plus, the mint scent wakes me up when I need a boost!

Too expensive for what you get. Not better than most of the others out there. Grave before shave is better. This product is overrated.

Don't need to use a lot of product and it really lathers up nicely. The scent is nice and I feel like it gets my beard clean. I follow with the conditioner and the oil and it really does make a difference.
